1st General Assembly & Convention of Indigenous Sports Association Nepal

11 Nov 2023, Kathmandu, Nepal. The Indigenous Sports Association Nepal (ISAN) held its 1st General Assemby on 11 Nov 2023 in Kathmandu, marking significant milestone for the preservation, promotion , research & development of Indigenous sports in Nepal.

The event was inaguarated by Mrs. Nanda Bashyal, Vice president of Nepal Sports Federation Nepal Confederation of Sports - NECOS & Working Member of National Sports Council, Nepal and was attended by distinguished guests including:

. Mr. Pritam Gurung ( First Gurung Film Actor & Producer completing 50 feature films)

. Mr. Siddhartha Lama Tamang ( Sport Lawyer & PresidentWuma Kung-fu Association Nepal)

Additionally over 77 General Assembly delegates participated representing ISAN's 3 provincial associations and 15 districts associations. The General Assembly unanimously elected 09 member board committee with Bhupendra Gurung assuming the role of President This leadership team is poised to gude ISAN's mission of enhancing Indigenous & international sports througout Nepal fostering greater opportunities for sports person to engage in physical activitiy, comptetions, research, study & international communications.

As a proud member of International Martial Arts Corporation ( IMAC) Uk & Martial Art Federations of Great Britain, Uk, ISAN continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting National & Indigenous Sports in national and international levels. ISAN extends its congratulations to the newly elected committee and realfirms its supports for ISAN's efforts to strengthen the role of Indigenous sports in the nation.
